I couldn't get the curved part of the double wedding ring block to lay flat and gave up. Sooo I drew the pattern on a block of white fabric, placed that on top of a block of blue print, did a satin stitch around the pattern and cut it out. sew those blocks together and you have a double wedding ring quilt. A lot easier and maybe even faster than the traditional way. I"m excited to see it after it's quilted! the small patch shows how it looks in two toned pink. the possibilities are nearly endless! I've included a pattern of the wedding ring block in case anyone wants to use it. I've also included a photo of a dresden plate block done in the same way. If you use the pattern make sure to add a full 1/2 inch seam allowance, trim the bottom fabric to the edges of the top fabric after sewing the satin stitch and make sure the top fabric is fully inside the seams when assembling the quilt. I printed the block out to be 7 inch square and cut the fabric blocks at 8 inches. Let me know if you have any questions. I'll be glad to help.

Dakota's Pony Ranch Quilt

This quilt was made for a 4 year old girl.
